THAAP (Trust for History, Art, and Architecture of Pakistan) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Pakistan’s diverse cultural legacy. Beyond the physical conservation of monuments, THAAP is a movement that seeks to reclaim the “People’s Perspective” on history. We believe that a nation’s progress is inextricably linked to its cultural consciousness. By acting as a bridge between academic research, professional architectural practice, and community-led initiatives, we ensure that the narratives of our ancestors are not lost to time but are integrated into the modern identity of Pakistan.
At THAAP, we view heritage as a living, breathing entity rather than a relic of the past. Our multidisciplinary approach brings together historians, architects, anthropologists, and artisans to create a comprehensive framework for cultural management. From conducting high-level international conferences to executing grassroots digital mapping in remote valleys, our work is defined by scientific rigor and ethical engagement. We strive to empower local communities, making them the primary custodians of their own history and ensuring that heritage becomes a driver for sustainable social and economic development.
